I don’t do engagement sessions very often, but I am SO glad I said yes to this Woodbury family engagement session. This had got to be one of my favorite outdoor sessions this season. It was only a mini session but there were so many keepers. Typically a mini session yields a gallery of 10 images. Because they were so fabulous, let’s just say their gallery had more than 15 images.

We split the session time with doing family in the beginning. Then we did the engagement portion at the end. Their little one was so happy and I had so much fun chasing him around. Some of my favorite photos are always the ones where you can see their personality.

After we were done with the family photos, we moved on to the engagement part. This was so fun for me as it’s not a genre I typically photograph. I did enjoy having cooperative subjects that didn’t run away from me while I was trying to take a picture ;).

I take a break during the winter from family photography (newborn, maternity, and baby sessions still take place in the studio). I am currently booking Spring 2018 family sessions. Mid May is beautiful with the trees blooming!
