Adorable Southbury newborn, Joey, was 19 days new when he came for his session. Joey was such a sweet heart and I could have cuddled him all day.

Newborn personalities

I always tell new parents that each baby has a personality. Yes, even as young as a couple weeks old. Joey was no exception. I learned that Joey does NOT like to be naked. He also does not like to be on his belly. That was a little bit of a dilemma for me. As you can see from most of my website, I do enjoy having naked babies on their bellies! This is not the first time something like this has happened. Luckily I have a million and one wraps that came to the rescue.

Newborn Photography

My goal with each newborn session is to be able to provide mom and dad with a variety of images they will love to display in their home. Joey provided me with a little bit of a challenge this session. I loved getting creative with different wraps and angles. I’m always up for a challenge!

Now booking newborns with due dates from Jan – June 2017!

There is so much cuteness in this blog post! Newtown newborn girl Riley was 10 days new at the time of her newborn session. She has two big brothers that are oh so adorable! Her oldest brother is in preschool with my youngest. It’s like going back in time for me because their age gaps are similar to mind!

Winter Baby

I have this winter headband I bought when my daughter was born. I thought it would look amazing with the mint backdrop.

2017 newborn sessions

Sessions are being booked from now to June due dates. I have a few newborns with May due dates already on my calendar! For more information on a newborn session, you can fill out the contact form.

Meet Amelia. She is the cutest West Hartford newborn. She was 5.5 weeks when she came to my studio! I am really loving photographing newborns past the typical 2 weeks.

West Hartford Newborn: Amelia 5.5 weeks

Amelia started her session wide awake. However, it didn’t take her long to drift off to sleep. This is one of my favorite images with her eyes wide open.

Baby Yawns

I just love capturing those little newborn yawns.

Mom had brought a strand of pears to use at the session. I just love this close up of Amelia’s hands, holding onto the strands of pearls. Just something so sweet about it. newborn holding pearls west hartford newborn ct photography

I just love this relaxed natural pose. Amelia loved to stretch out and have her hand above her head. newborn in bowl west hartford newborn ct photographyside laying newborn with wrap west hartford newborn ct photographynewborn girl face west hartford newborn ct photographyclose up of newborn in bowl west hartford newborn ct photography

Newborn Information

Newborn sessions are typically booked during pregnancy. They are held between 6 – 16 days, but as you can see, I’ll gladly photograph older babies. I always follow baby’s cues and don’t force them into positions they are not comfortable in.

Look at my newest CT puppy photography session! This is Noodle. He is The Exceptional Partner’s newest service dog in training! You might remember the last puppy photo shoot I did. That one was FIVE puppies. This time I just had one, but let’s say that Noodle was a handful on her own!

Look at that little face! How could you not fall in love with her? I love when I get to meet the puppies before they are in full training and wear their vests.

The Exceptional Partner Service Dogs

This is an amazing 501(c)(3) non-profit origination. It is the only non-profit organization in the area that provides psychiatric service animals to civilians. If you live in Newtown, I’m sure you’ve seen some of the service dogs in training around town. The dogs are regularly brought to schools where students can learn about their purpose and are also educated about the needs of people with mental illness. This is a great way to normalize the stigma around mental health issues and have it be a part of every day conversation.
