Songs of Life | Here Comes The Sun

Welcome to the Song of Life blog circle! I recently joined a blog circle with a group of very talented photographers and this is our first month. Each month we are given a song and can interpret it any way we would like. It could be from the song title, song lyrics, or the overall theme/message from the song as inspiration for the images. This month the song is “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles. You can listen to it here.

Below you can see my interpretation through my images. I took my boys out at 6:30 in the morning to play as the sun was rising behind the trees. They danced and jumped around, having a great time playing early in the morning. The sun quickly rose shining on their backs as they ran around the yard. Here comes the sun!

33 weeks maternity session | Connecticut Maternity and newborn photographer

I was ecstatic when I got an e-mail from my friend Jenn about maternity photos. I have known Jenn since we were neighbors in New Jersey as kids. Despite the fact that I moved away at 10 and she moved shortly after, we have still kept in touch all this time. Having moved twice in middle school there aren’t many people I have kept in touch with from elementary school. She is an absolutely gorgeous pregnant mama and I can’t wait to meet this little girl!

This little girl’s future boyfriends are in big trouble. Her daddy is a boxer. I love that we were able to incorporate his gloves into the session.

Baby Jackson | CT lifestyle newborn photographer

I had a great time with baby Jackson at his home. He was just over one month at his session so we did a lifestyle newborn session. I love these types of sessions because it captures all the moments of what life is like right now that will soon be a distant memory. Jackson and his big brother are only 21 months apart. That’s the same age difference as my boys and this session sure brought back memories! I especially love all the crazy moments. There’s never a dull moment with two under two.

CT twin photographer | baby Renah & Damien |14 days

It was such a pleasure to photograph these newborn twins at their home. They were 14 days old and so cuddly! Renah liked to fight the sleep but eventually gave in for some adorable shots with her brother. Many thanks to my good friend, Besa, who came to assist me. It’s always good to have an extra pair of hands with baby twins!

Don’t know what a mini accordion album is? Click the link to see for yourself. They are one of my favorite products. Keep one for yourself and give the others to the grandparents. You can stick them to the fridge, display them on a shelf, or throw them in your purse for sharing.

I am now booking late spring and summer maternity and newborn sessions. If you are interested please contact me early in your pregnancy to ensure availability. Newborn sessions are done when your baby is between 5-14 days. It’s never to early to get your newborn session on the books.

I was so thrilled the these three came for the second year in a row to my March of Dimes Fundraiser. They have grown so much. I have a photo of them last year on the same crate. They were barely able to all fit on it this year!

It was so much fun photographing these three sisters. They were amazing at following directions and loved the camera! This was my second year doing a fundraiser for the March of Dimes. It was a beautiful evening in Newtown and such a successful event. Thank you to all who participated!

I had so much fun with these brothers at their super hero session. You might remember these two from their fall session last year. They were such hams and loved to run around with their capes and make all sorts of super hero poses.

I had such a great time meeting up with Dorothy for a maternity session. It was a little chilly, but a gorgeous day and the lighting was just perfect. She was a day shy of 33 weeks and absolutely stunning!
