The gorgeous Athena. She came to my Fairfield County newborn studio at 12 days new for her Easton newborn photos. Athena was 8 lbs 11 oz at birth and I’m sure she was 9 lbs for her newborn session. Mom and dad were so in love with their little girl. They were telling me that before they were born, they were so excited to meet their daughter, and they couldn’t wait for the newborn photos. That makes me so excited that along with the excitement of meeting their first daughter, they were also looking forward to her newborn session with me.

Newborn Photography Colors and Themes
If you’ve been following my work for a while, you know that I love color. My studio is filled with an assortment of colors and many different shades. I love to mix and match and have you photos match the nursery decor or your favorite colors. For Athena’s newborn photos, mom decided on pink, cream, yellow, and gray. I had so much fun putting this set together. Athena just looked amazing with every single one of those colors.
Parents & Baby
My full newborn sessions include time for parent and newborn images (and siblings if there are any). I just love being able to photograph these moments that will soon seem like a lifetime ago. I’m sure when Athena is older, she will just love these photos of her with her parents. You can just see the love.
A Father’s Love
Sometimes there are moments during a session that I pause and will never forget. At one point during Athena’s newborn session, I was posing her on a pink rug. Mom and dad were sitting on the couch in my seating area. Dad looked at his daughter, gasped, hand went to heart, and he might have stopped breathing. The beauty of his daughter caused his heart to skip a beat. I told him that although I know CPR, I’d rather not use it! It was just an amazing moment of witnessing a dad’s love for his daughter. It was a moment where I realized one of the many reasons I love what I do. I love to give parents that feeling time and time again with the portraits of their newborn.
